That’s a big deal because we’re in for one of the most competitive Senate races in the country. Both Cook Political Report and Larry Sabato’s Crystal Ball rate our race as a toss-up.
With only two seats standing between Washington Republicans and control of the Senate, the stakes are really high.
I want to return to the Senate so I can continue putting working people front and center of every piece of legislation, every policy decision -- from burying the term “rust belt” and creating more good-paying jobs in people’s hometowns to protecting workers’ right to join a union so they can bargain for better wages, benefits, and conditions.
On the flipside, Mitch McConnell and Republicans are talking about slashing Social Security and Medicare, raising taxes on working-class Americans, and passing a nationwide abortion ban.
They want to punish the people who make this country work while protecting their wealthy donors and corporate allies.
So, yeah -- the stakes are really high.
The good news is you can make an impact on one of the most consequential Senate races out there and you don’t have to contribute a whole to do it.
It doesn’t matter how much you give. It just matters that you get involved, because when everyone pitches in, we can do big things and win tough races.
With gratitude,
Sherrod
