Though Democrats like myself are working hard to lower the everyday costs of living across the country, greedy corporations are continuing to price-gouge consumers any chance they can.

Here in New Mexico’s 2nd Congressional District, gas prices have skyrocketed as high as 350% more than previous utility bills in Las Cruces and Deming, with some folks receiving bills as high as $800. That’s unacceptable.

Nobody should have to choose between putting food on the table or keeping their heat and power on.

That’s why I wrote to Symmetry Energy Solutions, demanding they work with Las Cruces and Deming city officials to lower these astronomical gas prices.
