Recently I was appointed Ranking Member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence by Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries.

I am honored and grateful for the trust Leader Jeffries has placed in me to lead the critically important work of protecting our country and overseeing the Intelligence Community.

In an interview with the Associated Press, I discussed my priorities, including my supporting Ukraine in its efforts to maintain democracy in the face of Russian aggression, and the need to navigate growing tensions with China.

Together, with Committee Chairman, Mike Turner, and my colleagues on both sides of the aisle, we will work to advance and protect our national security interests, protect the American people, and support those in the intelligence community who sacrifice their safety, while also ensuring their actions are subject to oversight and align with our values.
