This week, Governor Ron DeSantis announced that Republican voters outnumber Democrats by 400,000 in Florida, compared to 2018, when Democrats outnumbered Republicans by nearly 300,000.
The Governor’s bold leadership has led to a significant influx of Americans seeking safe harbor from tyranny and woke ideology. While other states locked down communities, forced kids out of classrooms, and imposed vaccine mandates, Governor DeSantis stood strong and protected the God-given rights of Floridians.

On Tuesday, Governor DeSantis held a roundtable discussion with victims of media defamation – including Nick Sandmann. The panel discussed how legacy media outlets must be held accountable when they purvey false information, wage unfair attacks, and present dishonest narratives as the truth. The Governor highlighted how corporate media outlets use anonymous sources to harm the reputations of average citizens without affording the individual the capacity to fight back.
Governor DeSantis called on the legislature to take action in the upcoming Legislative Session to safeguard Floridians who don’t always have the resources needed to fight back against the life-altering consequences of media malpractices.
“We’ve seen over the last generation legacy media outlets increasingly divorce themselves from the truth and instead try to elevate preferred narratives and partisan activism over reporting the facts. When the media attacks me, I have a platform to fight back. When they attack everyday citizens, these individuals don’t have the adequate recourses to fight back. In Florida, we want to stand up for the little guy against these massive media conglomerates.”

Governor DeSantis’ Framework for Freedom Budget prioritizes the pockets of Florida’s families and stands in the way of Washington DC’s gross overspending and Bidenflation.
Through the Framework for Freedom Budget, Governor DeSantis is providing record tax relief for Florida families by including a permanent sales tax exemption for cribs, strollers, over-the-counter pet medications, and gas stoves.
“We think a typical family maybe saving over $1,000 with all this tax package. There's going to be some that save a lot more than that because they're doing more tolls or whatnot. And that's going to make a difference particularly when we are bracing for continued economic headwinds, thanks to what's going on in Washington, D.C.”

When the Biden administration refused to approve Florida’s proposal for an Ian Housing repair program, Governor DeSantis did not hesitate to step in and help. After the Governor’s decisive action, the Florida Division of Emergency Management installed more than 140 travel trailers for Floridians who lost their homes due to Hurricane Ian.
One of those families was able to be welcomed home by Mason, Madison, and First Lady Casey DeSantis.
