Friend, after FOURTEEN failed votes for speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy agreed to several outrageous demands from far-right MAGA House Republicans in exchange for their votes. 

Worried about those demands? You should be. Because, in a desperate attempt to retain power, McCarthy agreed to a House rule that empowers a single lawmaker to launch the process to oust the speaker.

While he has for the moment said that cutting Social Security is "off the table," the House Republican committee and caucus chairs are already pushing to study whether Social Security and Medicare solvency could be part of a debt-limit deal.
