Sometimes it can seem like there’s no reason to donate to an organization like VoteVets 20 months before the next election.

We get it.

That feeling is probably a big part of the reason our fundraising has slowed since the last election.

But here’s why we need you.

VoteVets spent $24 million last election cycle. One of the largest outside spending organizations in all of politics. In large part, because we started out strong.

That allowed us to get involved in a razor-close North Carolina special election that happened early in the cycle.

It helped us connect with Veterans who were the target of disinformation in the run-up to the presidential election.

And an early start was a big part of the reason we were able to get involved in races earlier than many others to set the foundation for a few races that wouldn’t have won otherwise.

So we get the feeling. It’s early. And we hate having to ask for money this early.

But we need a bunch of people who understand how important that early money can be to step up and contribute today.
