“Never, never be afraid to do what’s right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Society’s punishments are small compared to the wounds we inflict on our soul when we look the other way.”

“It really boils down to this: that all life is interrelated. We are all caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied into a single garment of destiny.”

—Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

We couldn’t agree more, John. At NCLCV, we put people first. Here’s how we do it:

* Advocating for policies that protect your right to clean air, clean water, and clean energy

* Working to elect the leaders who will advance those policies by registering and mobilizing voters

* Activating you to hold those leaders accountable and make sure they live up to their promises

As a grassroots membership organization, we depend on you to fund this mission which is growing more important by the day. Our January deadline is looming in 11 days, so we can’t wait to ask you to renew your commitment to the cause.

If you also agree with Dr. King and support our mission, please renew your NCLCV membership at the $34 or $20 level today, so we can continue doing this important work in 2020 and beyond >> [link removed]

Our future on this planet is threatened by the climate crisis which is already impacting all of us. But people of color and lower income are often hit first and worst. That’s why we’re working for environmental justice and equity.

We know powerful polluters and their paid-for politicians target disadvantaged communities with landfills, coal ash dumps, and other sources of pollution. They think these communities don’t have the power to fight back. But we’re on the case, so they’d better think again.

Will you help us empower these communities and stop polluters in their tracks, John?
