Team,

On this day, I hope we can all take a few moments to remember the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King.

We commemorate his life each year not only because of what he was able to accomplish for justice and equality in this nation, but also for how he always fought for more, even in the face of extreme adversity. He never was content to settle with the status quo, or for the scraps he was dealt along the way.

Now in 2020, as hyper-partisanship increasingly creates tension in American politics, let us use Dr. King as an example to never back down from what we know is right.

As we work towards compromise, we should strive to grant each and every person in this country the dignity and respect they are owed.

Today, I hope you’re inspired to be leaders for the change you want to see in this country, that Dr. King exemplified throughout his life.
