On Tuesday night, Joe Biden stood in front of Congress, and all of America, to deliver his State of the Union Address. He could have used his speech as an opportunity change course after years of hardship for Americans, but predictably, Biden doubled down on the destructive policies that got us here in the first place. Oklahomans are living the daily consequences of Joe Biden’s self-inflicted disasters; from skyrocketing grocery bills, gasoline prices, and home heating costs, to a record crime wave and open border disaster.

This week, I was grateful to receive an operational update from Maj. Gen. Thomas H. Mancino on our brave Oklahoma Army and Air National Guard. Oklahoma National Guard members have selflessly answered the call of duty to defend our nation at home and abroad — and I will never stop fighting for our service members in the Senate.

Late last week, a Chinese spy balloon entered U.S. air space and proceeded to traverse the entire country before being shot down — only after it completed its mission. This is just one more example of how Joe Biden's weakness is a threat to national security. This Administration's failure to secure our nation's borders, and now our airspace, has made America vulnerable. We are long overdue for Biden to get tough on China and protect our national interests.
