With the new General Assembly session underway, delegates are barred from raising their own campaign funds.
So while Democrats in Richmond are doing good for Virginians, right-wing groups are busy filling their coffers to defeat them.

We can’t let Democrats in battleground seats fall short – so it’s entirely up to us to gather the resources they need to be competitive in November.

Here’s why we’re counting on your support this session:

First, the battle for abortion rights.

In just the first six weeks of 2023, the Democratic majority in the State Senate has already blocked three GOP anti-choice bills passed by the House of Delegates.

It’s abundantly clear that Republicans will ban abortion altogether if we lose our narrow 22-18 majority in November.
That’s all the more reason we need to prepare for the battle of a lifetime here in Virginia, and why it’s so critical that we protect and expand our Democratic majority in the State Senate.

Second, holding Republicans accountable.

Gov. Youngkin and his right-wing allies are pushing through a dangerous and extreme agenda.

From criminalizing women’s healthcare, to gutting climate legislation, to targeting LGBTQ students in schools, their policies cut against our values as Virginians. Only a strong, united, and prepared Democratic opposition can stop them.

With your support, Defense Dem PAC will provide the resources VA Democrats need to defend equality, freedom, and choice.

Third, preparing for November and beyond.

This year, Virginians will vote in more than 2,000 local and state elections. While Republicans can rely on their dark-money financiers and MAGA megadonors, Democrats must rely on grassroots support.

Every dollar we invest during the next few months will help us register new voters, defend Democrats in battleground seats, and flip GOP-held seats across the state come November.
