Friends and supporters, today we celebrate the life and accomplishments of one
of America’s great Civil Rights leaders,a man who fought to ensure every
American had the right to vote.

Today, we reflect on the message and call to action from Dr. King that still
resonates decades later, that by coming together we can fight for the common
good -- and win.

There’s still a lot our country needs to do to fulfill Dr. King’s vision, and
I hope each and every one of us fights for the better future he envisioned. I
know I try my absolute best to do this every day in Congress. I hope you’ll do
the same too.

Thank you,
Annie Kuster
