Dear John,



It was a busy week in Washington, but I’m back to keep you in the loop on how
I am fighting for our conservative values.



President Biden delivered an angry and embellished State of the Union on
Tuesday night. He spouted lies that Republicans want to cut Social Security and
Medicare and that the economy was roaring back. The truth is that inflation has
outpaced wage growth for 21 months while the national debt is larger than our
entire economy. The president also doubled down on ridiculous policies like
banning assault weapons and codifyingRoe v. Wade. I am thankful that the
American people delivered a conservative House majority to ensure Biden’s
radical agenda is dead on arrival.


I joined my Republican colleagues in signing an amicus brief regarding
President Biden’s illegal student loan cancellation plan. His proposal is
nothing more than a political ploy that exploits a rule meant to assist service
members and veterans. The power of the purse remains with the House, and thus
it is illegal for the president to spend taxpayer money to wipe out student
loan debt without the authorization of Congress. I look forward to the Supreme
Court’s invalidation of this irresponsible and illegal political maneuver.
