Hello,

Today, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, I'm celebrating an annual tradition.

I'm joining thousands of volunteers, as well as Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney and Governor Tom Wolf, to honor Dr. King and his legacy of service.

This year, we're joining together to help promote the U.S. Census and make sure every one of our neighbors can be counted -- because everybody counts.

Whether you join us in Philadelphia or at another volunteer location, or simply spend your day with friends and family, I hope you'll take the time to reflect on how we all can serve our communities, make our nation stronger, and fight to ensure that everyone has a chance at the American Dream, just as Dr. King did.

After today's holiday is over, our work will not be finished. We must reform our criminal justice system; restore the Voting Rights Act; ensure that every American child is guaranteed quality, affordable early care and learning; and together build a stronger economy that works for all of us.

I look forward to fighting for you in Washington, and fighting alongside you as we seek and defend the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all.

Thank you,

Bob Casey
