On Tuesday night, President Joe Biden delivered his State of the Union Address (SOTU) to the nation. Biden’s speech was a weak attempt to cover up and downplay the numerous failures of his administration. For many, the American Dream is slipping away, and they see America’s crippling debt, federal corruption, open borders, and capitulation to China as the reasons why.

The State of the American Dream

The paychecks of many American families are being stretched thin by record high inflation. The nation is feeling less and less safe from foreign adversaries by the day. And the impact of a monumental border crisis is being felt across every state and every city.

In a press release responding to Biden’s Address Heritage Action Executive Director, Jessica Anderson wrote “Biden failed to adequately address the core issues that matter to most Americans, including the safety and security of our communities.”

Biden’s address completely ignored:

• The border crisis: which has become a national security threat, a humanitarian crisis, and a drug trafficking emergency that is killing thousands.
• Inflation: The average family in America has lost nearly $6,000 in purchasing power. This inflation was not “transitory” as the Biden administration promised, nor is it a “high-class problem” as the White House tweeted over a year ago.
• Radical Wokeness: Instead of problem solving, Biden has become a divider-in-chief by leveraging government power to wage a culture war against conservative and religious Americans, forcing universities to accept a perverted definition of biological “sex” under Title IX, and otherwise targeting basic moral values of American culture.

The American people are counting on conservatives for common-sense solutions to unite and restore our country's institutions and values.

Exposing ESG in Indiana

Awareness of the ESG agenda is spreading across the country, and Heritage Action’s role in the fight against this scam is making headlines.

ESG stands for Environmental, Social, and Governance. This agenda encompasses nearly all radical leftist priorities including the dismantling of the fossil fuel industry, implementation of hiring practices based on group identity rather than merit, and pushing for woke culture.

In Indiana, Heritage Action’s Sentinel activists have been urging state lawmakers to craft policy to protect taxpayer dollars from being used to fund the “woke” ESG agenda.

Heritage Action Executive Director Jessica Anderson and Indiana state Representative Ethan Manning were interviewed about their position on HB 1008, a key bill in Indiana which would take a major step towards ensuring that asset managers fulfill their fiduciary responsibilities instead of advancing their own personal political agenda.

The bill has come under heavy fire from politicized asset managers whose efforts to politicize other industries in the state would be hampered by the passage of HB 1008.

Lawmakers in Indiana, and every other state taking action against ESG need to stand strong and not cave to the pressure of woke corporations. Heritage Action urges state lawmakers to pass legislation that will push back against the systematic undermining of our country's values and businesses.

What you need to know about the national debt

In Biden’s SOTU address, he raised the issue of the debt ceiling. What he didn’t tell you is the reason we have a debt problem, is because he had a spending problem first.

Biden recklessly called for a debt ceiling increase without also asking for any cuts in spending. But what does this mean?

In Heritage Action’s latest video, RJ Gibson, Director of Government Relations joined Thad Brock, Director of Digital Advocacy to answer questions about the debt ceiling.

Americans expect results on the border

Conservatives were elected to bring the border crisis under control. Now that they have a foothold in Washington DC, results are expected.

Research from the Heritage Foundation has revealed that the crisis from the border is not simply a crisis at the border. Once immigrants enter the country, millions of them are then bussed all around the country by Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). Out of 435 congressional districts, immigrants have arrived illegally in 431 of them.

This crisis recently reached the height of hypocrisy. Over the summer, Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis were criticized as being “cold hearted” and “inhumane” for busing illegal immigrants to other states.

Now, NYC mayor Eric Adams is also bussing migrants out, but not to other states, to other countries! The NYC government has recently been paying for the bus tickets of illegal immigrants in the city to be taken to Plattsburgh, NY - about 20 miles from the Canadian border.

When they are dropped off they are then met with cabs that take them along Roxham Rd, a pathway that leads to a well known entry point for migrants to illegally enter Canada.

But where is the outrage? Is Mayor Adams not cold hearted too?

The insanity has gone on too long. We can no longer afford to simply reshuffle the chairs on the sinking titanic. We need to actually plug the holes.

That’s why Heritage Action signed onto this third coalition letter demanding border security and the impeachment of DHS Secretary Mayorkas.
