First, the White House said Russia did it – blew up their own natural gas pipeline. WTH? A moment's consideration shows this was lightly-salted nonsense – even though the media kept repeating the lie. Russia had no reason to sabotage its own lucrative Nord Stream pipeline transporting natural gas to Germany. 

Ah, but the United States had the means and motivation. In "How America Blew Up the Nord Stream Pipeline," NY Times contributor Seymour Hersh details how President Biden bypassed Congress weeks before Russia invaded Ukraine to secretly order the destruction of Russia's pipeline in order to maintain western global domination.

Now that would be a crime involving Biden and his alleged co-conspirators: Secretary of State Blinken, National Security Advisor Sullivan and CIA Director Burns.

This destructive act is global capitalism at its most reckless, and constitutes a devastating climate crime.

Climate scientists described the shocking images of the methane erupting from the burst as a "reckless release" of greenhouse gas emissions that, if deliberate, "amounts to an environmental crime." Methane gas is reportedly 80 times more toxic per molecule than carbon dioxide.

According to Hersh's unnamed source, the Biden administration did not want the attack to be traced back to the White House because then it would be considered an act of war against Russia.

"The plan to blow up Nord Stream 1 and 2 was suddenly downgraded from a covert operation requiring that Congress be informed to one that was deemed as a highly classified intelligence operation with U.S. military support," the source explained. Under the law, "there was no longer a legal requirement to report the operation to Congress."

Use your voice to get Congress to put Biden's irresponsible, warmongering, climate-killing act under the microscope.

Just as the US invasion of Iraq may have provided Putin with the dangerous precedent to invade Ukraine, Biden's attack on Nord Stream could set a precedent for others to attack US infrastructure. Let's stop this now, before further escalation and climate destruction!
