BEAR ALERT! Republican lawmakers and trophy hunting lobbyists are advancing some of the most aggressive anti-bear laws ever!

In 2016, the Trump administration REMOVED crucial Endangered Species protections for grizzly bears, even rewarding trophy hunters with handouts for their brutal killings. Since then, rampant poaching and overkilling have driven this threatened species closer to EXTINCTION.

Right now, ruthless trophy hunters are indiscriminately slaughtering innocent bears with some of the cruelest tactics, including blowing up sleeping bear cubs in their dens. And it’s totally LEGAL in the Northern Rockies states bordering Yellowstone.

Now, these anti-bear states are scheming with the hunting lobby to make it EVEN EASIER to freely MASSACRE this iconic mammal. If they succeed in delisting federal protections for grizzly bears, it could completely WIPE OUT this vulnerable species forever. The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service MUST step up immediately and do its job of protecting grizzlies on the federal level. Will you add your name right now to tell FWS to SAVE innocent bears from violent trophy hunters before it’s too late?

Yellowstone grizzlies are federally protected, but only within the confines of the park itself. But as soon as they innocently cross state lines into one of the surrounding states of Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming, they are fair game for violent hunters.

Roughly 50,000 BEARS are LEGALLY hunted in the U.S. every year, which doesn’t even account for the unknown number that are poached illegally.

Without federal protections, decades of conservation work and attempts at restoring this vulnerable species could all be ERASED -- leaving grizzly bears little chance at survival.

Friend, the new legislative session is already underway -- so we’re running out of time to STOP the FWS from bending to pressure from anti-bear special interests. That’s why we’re urgently calling on environmentalists like you to take action now: Sign the petition to DEMAND grizzly bear protections! >>

Thank you for protecting bears,
Friends of the Earth
