A Texas case could ban medication abortion access nationwide.
Friend,
22 Democratic Attorneys General, led by New York AG Tish James, have filed an amicus brief to defend and protect access to medication abortion. In the brief, the AGs ask the court to reject a challenge brought by anti-abortion activists seeking to revoke the FDA’s approval of the medication abortion pill mifepristone. A Trump-appointed Texas judge is set to rule on the case as soon as this month — and his ruling could outlaw abortion pill access across the country. Dem AGs argue their constituents will suffer “devastating consequences" if mifepristone, the first of two pills used to terminate a pregnancy, is banned.
Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and we can't stop now – will you chip in today?
