Abortion care is health care and should be accessible to everyone, regardless of income, insurance, or zip code.
That’s why Rep. Barbara Lee, Rep. Diane DeGette, Rep. Jan Schakowsky, and I re-introduced the Equal Access to Abortion Coverage in Healthcare (EACH) Act — which would eliminate the Hyde Amendment and lift the ban on abortion care for millions of people covered by Medicaid or other federal insurance plans.

With Republicans’ ongoing assault on reproductive justice, we must use every tool available to affirm abortion care as the fundamental human right that it is. That includes repealing the Hyde Amendment.
For over half a century, the harmful and discriminatory policy has denied access to abortion care for folks who receive healthcare through Medicaid, a burden that falls disproportionately on people of color, immigrants, transgender, and gender non-conforming people.
The EACH Act would repeal Hyde and put us one step closer to dismantling the systems of oppression that put comprehensive health care out of reach for too many.

Thank you for your support and partnership in the fight for reproductive rights.
