John – the State of the Union was chaotic.
President Biden laid out his vision to bring America together. Kevin McCarthy rolled his eyes.
He called for a ban on assault weapons, increased trust among police and their communities, and policies that keep our children safe. Republicans shouted their disapproval.
He vowed to protect Medicare and Social Security from right-wing attacks. Marjorie Taylor Greene screamed “Liar!”
And today, Kevin McCarthy defended those who heckled the president. He stood behind those who interrupted, jeered, and put to rest any hopes of partisanship or compromise in the year ahead.
Under Kevin’s leadership, the floor dissolved into chaos. And that’s just a preview of what’s to come; because Kevin isn’t interested in legislating. Instead, he’s focused on investigating Hunter Biden’s laptop, the 2020 Presidential Election (yes! still!), and whatever wild theories Gaetz and Greene come up with next.
Clearly, the MAGA mob is pulling the strings here, not McCarthy.
That’s why we cannot let this moment pass us up: I’m asking each of you to split a donation between my campaign and Voter Protection Project so that we can finally defeat Kevin and his band of right-wing extremists and bring some sanity and respect back to the House floor.
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your split donation between Andy Morales and VPP will go through immediately:
It’s not just about getting rid of those who stall our progress – it’s about what we can build together.
I support Biden’s ban on assault weapons. I am in favor of his proposed billionaire tax so that working families don’t carry the brunt of any future economic slowdowns. I applaud Biden for leading us through a global pandemic and smashing records for job creation.
It’s time we got back to solving problems.
And that starts with us: Please, could you split a contribution of whatever you can to help us launch this grassroots campaign and build something that works for the people – not Kevin’s friends?
I cannot thank you enough for your support.
Thank you, Andy Morales
