Dear Friend,

Fawcett’s 2020 Sex & Power Index launched this week. We found zero women of colour in CEO roles in the FTSE 100.

Not a single one. Plus: no women of colour in the Scottish Parliament, National Assembly for Wales or the Northern Ireland Assembly. Every sector is male dominated.

This report was funded by our members, thanks to their support we were able to hold companies, parliament and institutions to account.
Join us, and stand up for the rights of women and girls everywhere. ([link removed][UNIQID])

Check out some of the coverage we’ve received - The Independent ([link removed][UNIQID]) , The Guardian ([link removed][UNIQID]) , Huff Post ([link removed][UNIQID]) and The Daily Mail ([link removed][UNIQID]) .

We also reported:
* Only 1% of university chancellor roles are held by women of colour
* Just 2% of all peers are women of colour
* There has never been a supreme court judge who is a woman of colour.

Zero Patience for Inequality.
We're pleased to announce that we will be partnering with leading race equality think tank, The Runnymede Trust ([link removed][UNIQID]) , to challenge the pay & progression of women of colour in the UK.

Together, we’ll be working with affected women to understand the inequalities and barriers to progression, and the solutions needed to overcome them.

And, through our Equal Pay 2020 campaign, we are urging the government to introduce gender pay gap reporting by ethnicity so that employers can be called out for discrimination and take action to advance women of colour in their workforces.

Support our work by becoming a Fawcett member ([link removed][UNIQID]) . The first 30 people to sign up this week will receive a free copy of one of the following books by leading black women writers*.
* Afua Hirsch, Brit(ish): On Race, Identity and Belonging
* Regina Porter, The Travelers
* Nafissa Thompson-Spires, Heads of the Colored People

Sign up today. ([link removed][UNIQID])
* Please note books will be randomly selected. It will not be possible choose which of the three titles you receive.
