​​The Florida Senate passed Senate Bill 4B, a proposal that would expand the jurisdiction of the Office of Statewide Prosecution so it can more successfully prosecute crimes investigated by the Office of Election Crimes and Security. The bill passed the state House on Feb. 8 and now goes to Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) for his signature. [link removed]

Votebeat Texas revealed that a provision of the state’s 2021 voter suppression law requires election equipment that doesn’t exist and could cost the Lone Star State millions of dollars. [link removed]

A Pennsylvania court rejected a request from Republican lawmakers seeking to force the Pennsylvania Department of State to provide them with personal voter information as part of an investigation into the 2020 election. [link removed]
