Stunning new revelations show that Republican Congressman Devin Nunes was
directly involved in the Ukraine scandal that led to Donald Trump's
impeachment -- and that Nunes lied to cover for Trump throughout the House

The House of Representatives just released dozens of text messages between
Rudy Giuliani associate Lev Parnas and a top Nunes staffer showing that
Nunes was personally involved in the pressure campaign to get Ukraine to
investigate Joe Biden.

The new documents confirm what Lev Parnas said on the Rachel Maddow show:
that Devin Nunes was not only part of the Ukraine cover-up -- he
participated in the Ukraine scandal from the start.

That's all after Nunes -- the top Republican on the House Intelligence
Committee -- said during the House impeachment hearings that the entire
impeachment investigation was a "hoax." Now we have proof that Nunes was
lying all along, violating his oath of office and putting America's
national security at risk all to help Donald Trump get re-elected.

In 2018, Nunes barely survived reelection. In 2020 we'll finish the job.
Here's what we have in mind:

1. A highly strategic, in-depth polling campaign in Nunes district to
identify the issues that are most politically effective to turn voters
against him. Rep. Nunes has made national news shilling for Trump, but we
need to know whether that's the #1 issue for voters in his district.

2. A major ad campaign -- likely including billboards and hyper-targeted
digital ads with the most effective message for each demographic group.
Billboards have been especially effective in Nunes's district, which is
mostly rural and suburban, because almost everyone drives. One billboard
on a major highway like California 99 will get millions of views.

3. Text messaging get-out-the-vote effort: Text messaging has become one
of the most effective ways to contact voters as more and more people are
screening their calls, and young people, especially, don't have landlines.
Research shows that while most emails are never even opened, 90% of text
messages are read within five minutes.

We can beat Devin Nunes, but his district leans red, so it won't be easy.
