In addition to this criminal case, and
a federal civil rights countersuit, we're currently representing David in two other monster cases.
Planned
Parenthood sued David civilly in federal court in San Francisco. In that case, after a series of hostile rulings from an Obama-appointed district
judge with ties to the local Planned Parenthood, we are appealing the jury's verdict, along with that judge's order banning David from doing any more
undercover journalism against Planned Parenthood. We're fighting back, but we'll need your help.
The
National Abortion Federation also sued David in the same court, in front of the same judge, for a "gag order" injunction that prohibits David from
releasing blockbuster video from its two annual abortion industry conferences. David and his team collected hundreds of hours of videos of
abortionists at their worst, but all of it remains under injunction. After a tough decision in front of a Ninth Circuit panel, we're now
taking this all the way to the Supreme Court.
It's not all bad news though.
Recently we scored a victory in a University of Washington (UW) case, where abortionists and their allies had sued
David Daleiden and the UW over David's public records requests for documents relating to the UW's taxpayer-funded "clearinghouse" for aborted babies'
tissue and organs.
The Thomas More Society secured a settlement of this lawsuit, clearing
the way to end a six-year legal battle that included an astonishing three appeals to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
That settlement won nearly everything that David Daleiden was seeking from the UW: thousands of pages
of new documents on the buying and selling of aborted babies' tissue and organs, including the key job titles and corporate information
needed to track which companies and entities are buying and selling those baby parts, and for how much.
Victories like this are why we continue to fight for David and the unborn, but the burden of these cases against
David are heavy.
