John,

Don't y'all just love Black love as much as we do?

Issa Rae in Insecure

Nobody has love like our people, it shows in everything we do.

This Valentines Day, we are lifting up #BlackLoveMatters on all our social media channels. And we want to know all about your #BlackLove! Whether you're having a galentines night, a romantic night with your partner, or a family-filled evening of pure love, we want to spread all types of #BlackLove over the next week in honor of Valentine's Day.

At the core of Black liberation is Black love – loving our friends, family, and ourselves.

For hundreds of years, Black love has served as a refuge for the ongoing battle for Black liberation. Our kind of love is a unique expression of perseverance and lifting each other up while we navigate the burden of racism through a world that doesn't know how to properly love us back.

Black folks have often survived on love alone – that's why we're so excited to use this Valentine's Day to uplift and share how #BlackLoveMatters in so many different ways. You can share your #BlackLoveMatters story using this form, or you can tag us on social media using the hashtag #BlackLoveMatters.

Black Lives Matter is so much more than putting an end to the violence against us. It's about liberation. It's about freedom. Every day, we embody the hope of our ancestors and can connect through this creative intervention -- all the while, fueling our movement as we uplift each other through the power of love.

Don't forget – if you're using socials to share the Black love with us, be sure to tag @blklivesmatter on Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #BlackLoveMatters!

In (Black) love and solidarity,
