john — anti-choice radicals have found a new way to attack our fundamental rights.
A Trump-appointed, conservative judge in Texas is likely to rule in a case that could have profound and wide reaching impacts that puts access to safe, effective, medication abortion in jeopardy.
The case was brought by a far-right anti-choice group, run by the wife of Senator Josh Hawley, looking to reverse the FDA approval of mifepristone not only in Texas, but nationwide — even in places where reproductive freedom is protected like in Minnesota.
Mifepristone is a safe, at-home method used by over 50% of people who seek abortion care. But Republicans and their anti-choice allies will continue to ignore science, all in efforts to crusade against reproductive freedom and control women’s bodies.
I refuse to let it happen.
john, I introduced the Protecting Access to Medication Abortion Act because I knew that Republicans weren’t going to stop after Roe fell. My bill would protect current FDA guidelines so that those looking for medication abortion can continue accessing it through telehealth and certified pharmacies, including mail-order pharmacies.
This bill is an important part of our work in Congress to stop all attempts to undermine women’s ability to access reproductive health care, and I need you with us.
john, add your name alongside mine to become a citizen co-sponsor of the Protecting Access to Medication Abortion Act and urge Congress to pass this important piece of legislation to prevent more of our rights from being taken away. [[link removed]]
