Throughout its history, LAANE has seen its role as not only running successful campaigns to raise standards for low-wage workers but also training the next generation of activists and social justice leaders.
With annual donor support, LAANE offers paid internship opportunities for interested folks of all economic levels in the fields of communications, community organizing, fundraising, and research in order to help jump-start their careers as social justice advocates. Applications are now open for the 2023 Beth and Julia Meltzer Internship Program through March 8. This year the program runs for eight weeks from June 12 to August 4, 24 hours per week, at $25/hour.
