A lot is happening at the moment, so here's a quick update on what I've been doing, and what is coming up locally.

Join North Shore MP Simon Watts and me for a public meeting to discuss National's opposition to Three Waters and co-governance of public assets. National's detailed policy will be released soon, but you can be sure of our bottom-lines:

• Local ownership,
• No co-governance of public assets,
• We support the water regulator and innovative funding mechanisms to upgrade and maintain local assets,
• We will work with local communities - not against them!

Upcoming Events

Medieval Market. I'll be in Levin tomorrow at the Medieval Market. Please come and say hi to us if you are around. We'll be over on the Tiro Tiro Rd side of the showgrounds.

Hurricanes. Next Friday evening in Levin. We'll be there! 

Ōtaki Kite Festival. Next Saturday, I'll be at the Ōtaki Kite Festival at the beach with my family.

Rural Games. Friday March 10th and Saturday March 11th.

Pasifika Celebration Day. Saturday March 11th in Levin.

It will take a huge team of volunteers to win this year. We need people to help with some admin behind the scenes, join teams who help at markets and waving signs and knocking on doors, and people to offer space for a sign on a fence or in a shop window.

If you're a current National Party member, please renew your membership today. If you haven't thought about joining us before, perhaps this is the year. We need a strong team locally because the National Party is a grass-roots party, controlled by local members. We are the sum-total of all those members, so there is no better way to shape or grow our party than to join it.
