Just as we saw California has turned a corner on climate action in 2022, California Environmental Voters and the California Environmental Voters Education Fund’s Directors have been undergoing a transformation as well.

Over the last four years, the leaders on our Boards of Directors have doubled down on their commitment to a future free of fossil fuels, dedicated themselves to personal giving and fundraising to ensure the organization can grow its impact, and dug in with staff on how our work advances racial justice and equity. The composition of our Boards is becoming more diverse — 50% of members are leaders of color representing broad and deep expertise in our field, and membership has increased in California’s frontline regions, including inland areas of the state.
