After our potential right-wing opponent, Lee Zeldin, attacked Kirsten Gillibrand directly on Twitter last month, he's now saying that running to defeat her in 2024 would be an "epic clash."

Zeldin nearly won New York's governor race in November, all while New York Republicans just had their best election cycle in two decades — flipping enough House seats red to retake the majority. Now, the GOP is targeting Kirsten for defeat to turn New York red and deliver Senate control back to Mitch McConnell.
