When We All Vote

Hi John,

With less than a year until one of the most consequential elections in our country’s history, we need your help to make sure everyone who can vote is registered.

On this Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, I’m reminded to begin this year with a commitment and action to make my community and my country a better place.

If you’re thinking of getting involved with When We All Vote—don’t wait. Sign up to join us now.

Thousands of you have already started taking action whether you’re a teacher helping register students in high schools or are a Voting Squad Captain helping folks in your church or workplace register to vote. I know a number of you are stepping up today and registering voters in your community to honor Dr. King’s legacy.

No matter where you come from, what your experience is, or even if you’ve never voted before, we will train you and give you the resources to help friends, family, and neighbors register themselves to vote.

Dr. King once said, “In a real sense all life is inter-related. All [people] are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. I can never be what I ought to be until you are what you ought to be, and you can never be what you ought to be until I am what I ought to be...This is the inter-related structure of reality.”

I want you to remember that your vote is your voice. If you don’t vote, you don’t get to decide who makes decisions for you in your city hall, your statehouse, the Capitol or even in the White House.

When your kids or grandkids ask you what you did to make a difference in the 2020 elections, what will you tell them? Don’t wish you had done more.

Sign up to take action with When We All Vote this year.

Thank you,

Valerie Jarrett
