As President Biden delivered his State of the Union address, celebrating our accomplishments and painting a hopeful future of American resilience and continued progress, extremist MAGA Republicans heckled and booed.
Their behavior was inappropriate and unbecoming, but it isn’t surprising. Unfortunately for Americans, the GOP’s heckling is emblematic of how the most extreme members of their caucus intend to disrupt our work on behalf of the American people. They’ve done nothing but elevate extremist voices, take our economy hostage, sow division and hate, and obstruct meaningful progress.
Just as President Biden did during his address, House Democrats aren’t letting the GOP’s antics distract us from what’s important: getting things done for Americans. That also means Democrats must start working now to win back the House – will you pitch in to help us prepare for the fights ahead?
