We cannot believe this, John. Just two days after the Utah Legislature opened this year's session, the Republican majority immediately considered the first draft of a ball that will ban trans youth from receiving gender-affirming health care.

Now, that bill is being signed into law.

Medical organizations and civil rights groups are unleashing scathing criticism over this hate filled and dangerous legislation, which puts trans youth at serious physical and emotional risk.

Unfortunately, Utah’s assault on gender-affirming care comes at a time when at least 18 other states are considering similar anti-trans bills. This attack is part of a wave of proposed legislation in states across the country this year that are focused on restricting transgender rights, and we cannot sit back and let it happen.

Now more than ever, allies need to be visible in standing up for LGBTQ+ rights. We must fight transphobia wherever we can, whenever we can.
