Friends,
The SC Freedom Caucus is holding strong, fighting the SC House GOP Caucus over the so-called “loyalty pledge”. To recap, South Carolina House members were forced to sign this pledge that would prohibit members from publicly calling out their more liberal colleagues when they undermine conservative principles. The SC Freedom Caucus opposed the pledge and refused to sign it. Their punishment was expulsion from the House GOP Caucus.
The pledge is basically a way for RINO Republicans to muzzle the SC Freedom Caucus. It’s an incumbent protection racket. Naturally, the conservative grassroots is siding with our brave freedom caucus members. With your ongoing support, they are relentlessly pressuring the Establishment in Columbia to ditch the pledge.
Now a major breakthrough has occurred. The Lexington County GOP has officially passed a resolution that condemns the pledge. Lexington is home to some RINO incumbents, like State Rep. Micah Caskey, who have loudly fought the SC Freedom Caucus. Now his own neighbors are against his bullying tactics. Expect more counties to pile on. Momentum is with us!
Speaking of momentum, national conservative leaders penned a letter this week in support of the SC Freedom Caucus. Signers included Jim DeMint, Mark Meadows, the legendary Morton Blackwell, Noah Wall with FreedomWorks, Wade Miller with Citizens for Renewing America, and Bob Carlstrom with AMAC Action.
AROUND THE COUNTRY
- The Montana Senate just passed SB 99, a bill that would ban transgender surgeries for children! A huge victory that the Montana Freedom Caucus was a part of. Here’s a short clip of MTFC Chair State Senator Theresa Manzella speaking out in favor of the bill.
- Another big fight is brewing in Montana. The GOP Establishment wants to reserve just a small portion of the state’s $3 billion surplus for tax relief and use the rest for big government spending programs. Opposing the plan is a top priority for the Montana Freedom Caucus, which wants to send most of it back while using the rest to pay down debt. No tax dollars will be used to grow government.
- The Wyoming Freedom Caucus is demanding answers from Pfizer about their “gain of function” program that was recently exposed in an undercover video. In their letter to the company’s CEO, they write, “At a time when institutional trust in the pharmaceutical industry is at an all-time low, the Wyoming Freedom Caucus demands that Pfizer Inc. inform the people of Wyoming of the legitimacy of the claims in the video captured by Project Veritas.”
- Democrats and Establishment Republicans are trying to pass a $102 million corporate welfare bill in the Gem State against the opposition of the Idaho Freedom Caucus. It squeaked past the ID House, 26-24. The fight is now in the ID Senate.
- The Mississippi Freedom Caucus along with the South Dakota Freedom Caucus renewed their demand that their state AGs withdraw from the corrupt National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) over the group’s woke ESG agenda. In MSFC’s letter to MS Attorney General Lynn Fitch, they write, “If NAAG is investing in left-wing ESG campaigns behind your back, what else are they doing without your knowledge? What else is out of your control at NAAG? What else is the left-wing career staff in Washington, D.C. doing in conjunction with NAAG leadership from places like Oregon, New York, and Connecticut?” Breitbart has the story.
- In response to a bill supported by Democrats and RINO Republicans to send more tax dollars to government-run schools, Arizona Freedom Caucus member State Rep. Alex Kolodin tweeted, “For years Arizonans have pumped more and more money into education ... but the funds never seem to make it to teacher pay and classroom funding. Yesterday the @AZFreedomCaucus fired a warning shot that the spigot has an expiration date unless taxpayer money is used PROPERLY!”
