Aloha Friend,
Homelessness continues to be a major challenge for our state — that’s why Governor Josh Green has made addressing the homeless crisis a top priority.
His plan to cut homelessness in half by 2026 includes:
- $30 million for Ohana Zone funding
- $1 billion proposal towards renovating public housing units, provide financial assistance to low-income families, improving affordable housing financing
- Signing an emergency proclamation that will create 12 kauhale communities for the unhoused population
- Creating a housing fund that will provide more affordable housing units
- And much more
Each day without action means another family forced to move to the mainland, another child sleeping on the street, and another local business closing.
Business as usual won’t work anymore — the status quo on homelessness is not acceptable.
For Governor Josh Green and his entire administration, homelessness is a top priority they are working hard to address each and every day.
As always, thank you for your support and for being an important member of Team Green.
Mahalo,
Team Green
