John, when I was appointed to the House Oversight Committee, I warned you that Republican leaders would use this committee for political clout and turn it into their own personal Fox News broadcast.
Well, guess what? That’s exactly what they’re doing – holding pointless hearings on Hunter Biden’s laptop and claiming it’s a free speech issue.
If they really cared about “protecting free speech” they’d bring in Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and grill him on his abuse of power, censorship, and fascist attacks against our constitutional rights.
But they won’t. Instead, Republicans are focusing on personally attacking ME for calling out their fascism, booking primetime spots on Fox News to blast me on the air.
They can try to intimidate me all they want, but I’ll never stay silent.
Listen, I’m not the problem here. But you can be damn sure I’ll be part of the solution. I’m on this committee to fiercely defend our values and hold GOP extremists accountable, and I’ll keep doing that no matter how many attacks they decide to throw at me.
