WTAP: “Sen. Sherrod Brown discusses the TRAIN Act and nursing shortages” Nurses work long hours and during the pandemic, they put their health at risk to provide care to others. They deserve our support, but hospital-based nursing schools are at risk of losing critical funding. Sherrod spoke to WTAP about his bipartisan bill -- which President Biden signed into law last year -- that will ensure these nursing schools, including six in Ohio, retain funding while helping to address the nursing shortage. Last month marked 13 years of unchecked dark money influencing our elections following the Supreme Court’s 2010 Citizens United v. FEC decision.
