Future generations deserve to witness salmon return home, and Tribal Nations must continue to have their salmon treaty obligations upheld.

Unfortunately, salmon runs continue to plummet throughout the state--down to just 10% of historical levels across the Columbia Basin, throughout southwest Washington, and around the Salish Sea region. However, every year, lack of funding by legislators stalls salmon recovery projects. For the past several state budget cycles, the legislature has funded only 15% of the projects identified.

Now is the time to right-size salmon investments for the future.

Please contact your legislators to ask for substantial increases in salmon habitat funding like the Salmon Recovery Funding Board and the Centennial Clean Water Program. These programs provide critical funds to protect and restore habitat for the future.

What’s good for salmon is good for people, too. Please ask your legislators to jump start a new commitment to protect and recovery habitat and to reduce pollution – to benefit people, salmon, and other wildlife.
