February has arrived, and that means we’re honoring Black History Month – an opportunity to pay tribute to the generations of Black communities who’ve struggled through adversity and who continue to inspire and shape our societies. Speaking of inspiring, Mickey Guyton gave us a wonderful tribute to diversity when she performed her song “Different” on our Global Citizen Festival stage. |
Black History Month also offers the opportunity to reflect on the inequality and racism that still persist all throughout the world. Whether we’re talking about education, income, health care, or policing, racial disparities continue to exist in all corners of society. That’s why it’s so important that we continue to fight against discrimination — not just in February but every single day of the year — and build a future where everyone has the chance to thrive. Everyday actions have a big impact in helping to eliminate inequality in the mission to End Extreme Poverty NOW! Take the challenge to help make a more equitable world. |
