Friend,
This week in the State of the Union, President Biden called for the restoration of Roe v. Wade by Congress. But as we know, Roe alone was never enough—and restoring it won’t happen in this gridlocked Congress.
Restoring Roe v. Wade isn't enough when anti-abortion politicians at the local level are attacking clinics, forcing out patients, and instigating ordinances aimed at making abortion inaccessible in their districts.
At the heart of these ordinances is the Alliance Defending Freedom, a right-wing hate group that funded the Mississippi abortion lawsuit overturning Roe v. Wade, and is currently funding a suit that could ban mifepristone, making medication abortion significantly less accessible nationwide—even in blue states.
Meanwhile, their big funder, The Servant Foundation, is buying multi-million dollar ads that will air during the big game on Sunday, with a message feigning inclusivity as they bankroll rabidly anti-abortion and anti-LGBTQ+ legislation and lawsuits across the country.
Friend, this is what we’re up against: An anti-choice movement that can afford multi-million dollar, prime-time ads peddling lies while financing powerful lawsuits that decimate our body autonomy.
We must meet this escalating crisis with urgency, strategy, and determination.
Stand with us and add your name if you agree that ALL patients should be able to easily access the reproductive care they need, including abortion pills!
Every elected official must protect reproductive freedom, and we can still make a difference in criminal legal positions and local offices to safeguard abortion and reproductive care.
