Lifting up Black voices will always be at the forefront of our mission.

Last week marked the start of Black History Month — an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the important work of audacious activists, freedom fighters, and courageous changemakers.

Black policy makers, advocates and activists have worked tirelessly to make so many of today’s freedoms possible. And they inspire us to continue fighting to tear down barriers, including “Jim Crow 2.0”:  unnecessary hurdles that anti-voter extremists have placed in front of the ballot box in a blatant attempt to silence our voices out of fear of our power. These attacks on voting rights aren’t anything new, so we know how to defeat them: by learning from our history and ensuring it is not repeated.

This Black History Month — and every month — we'll continue to lift up Black voices. We’ll continue to build community to inspire civic engagement with our neighbors. And we’ll continue our work to dismantle racial injustices in our electoral system.

Over the next few weeks, keep an eye on your inbox for more stories of Black voting rights champions and how Fair Fight Action is carrying on their legacies by protecting the freedom to vote.

I’m so grateful to be fighting alongside you. Thank you.

Onward,
