“We’re gonna create hundreds of thousands of new jobs across the country, and I mean across the whole country. Throughout not just the coast but through the middle of the country as well. That’s going to come from companies that have announced more than $300 billion investment in American manufacturing over the next 2 years.” During his State of the Union address, Joe Biden highlighted the creation of 800,000 new manufacturing jobs across the United States thanks to the bipartisan Chips and Science Act. This included a big shout-out to Ohio!
“Outside Columbus, Ohio, Intel is building a semiconductor factory on 1,000 acres; literally a Field of Dreams.” This one investment is going to create 10,000 good-paying jobs in the region. |
Also, Biden thanked the passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Legislation for allowing investment to fix the Brent Spence Bridge. The investment into this infrastructure project would ensure the safe travel of $200 billion of freight daily and create thousands of good-paying, union jobs.
Democrats are working to ensure these initiatives are passed and these investments are met in Ohio. Ohio needs these investments to remain competitive and Republicans in this state are trying to undermine this growth by passing extreme legislation that attacks workers, municipalities, and middle-class people. We need your help to ensure that Ohio sees these investments.
