During Human Trafficking Prevention Month in January, EIE released the following webinar that every parent must watch! The webinar was recently re-released again due to overwhelming interest. Advancing Public Policy and the Rule of Law EIE met with several elected officials to advocate for key policy and child protective measures on the internet: EIE's Bill Woolf (left) and Donna Rice Hughes (right) posed for a photo with VA Attorney General Jason Miyares after meeting to discuss a Virginia Statewide Internet Safety Initiative EIE advocated for the reintroduction of the Kids Online Safety Act, the Earn It Act, and the Children and Teens’ Online Privacy Protection Act. Donna met with Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) to encourage DOJ to prioritize investigations and prosecutions pertaining to existing federal obscenity, child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sex trafficking and child exploitation laws. Donna also met with members of the House Judiciary Committee including Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) to discuss these concerns and encourage congressional oversight hearings.
