“God’s Got This” – A Personal Testimony

The earthquake in Turkey and Syria has a lot of people wondering where God is.  It is heartbreaking and the suffering is immense.  My response to such pain and agony is “God’s got this.”  That upsets lots of people because they conclude based on that statement that God is the source of the quake.   I have no idea if God is the source, but I know He is the solution.

Playing God

The race for “AI” has intensified in recent weeks and it is now playing in the stock market.  Google and Microsoft are both introducing “AI” based products and Google messed up a bit – tanking their stock, for now.  This is both the latest over-reaching marketing thing and a frightening bit of mad science to come along in a long time.  It bears comment.

When Worlds Collide

Last night’s SOTU/response match illustrates how radically different the world views are on the opposite sides of the political aisle.  But more importantly the coverage which seems to have talked about anything but the speeches themselves, illustrates how it is the dogfight everyone is interested in, not what the fight is about.
