One Texas judge is set to determine the future of medication abortion
Friend,
The future of medication abortion in the United States rests in the hands of one federal Texas judge who was nominated by Donald Trump.
As soon as this week, a Trump-appointed judge will issue a ruling in a case brought by anti-abortion rights activists that could end the Food and Drug Administration’s approval of mifepristone, one of two medications most commonly used in medication abortion. The consequences of this case could be incredibly far-reaching — and go as far as taking mifepristone entirely off the market nationwide — even in states where abortion is accessible and protected.
Anti-abortion activists and politicians are determined to make it impossible to receive vital reproductive health care across the country — they are actively working to further dismantle sexual and reproductive health care nationwide. This ruling could have far-reaching consequences — not just in red states. Democratic AGs know that everyone deserves access to reproductive health care, regardless of their zip code. And Dem AGs are crucial in pushing back against these attacks on abortion access. Will you lend us a hand, friend? Chip in to fight the GOP’s destructive rollback of abortion rights.
Thanks,
