Fox News: Image

Friends,

This week Biden gave his State of the Union Address to the 118th Congress. Unfortunately, his speech was a long mess of half-truths and boldfaced lies. So I fact-checked his speech with the actual state of our union that he's created. I also went on Fox News to call Biden out on not doing enough to secure our border, and spoke at an Energy and Commerce Committee Hearing on the importance of refineries, being rational environmentalists instead of radical environmentalists, and how we do that with common sense policies.

Sincerely,

Be a Rational Environmentalist, Not a Radical One

Image

Radical environmentalists live in a fantasy world. A world where supply & demand don’t exist, nor do the basic rules of economics. 8 refineries have closed in the last 5 years, largely because of the pandemic and foolish lockdowns that killed demand. It was a major factor in our drastic price increases. Our demand came back to pre-pandemic levels, but our supply never caught up. So what would happen if we slashed our remaining refineries in half? A guaranteed increase in prices, and catastrophic impacts on our economy. Our goal should be to make it easier for Americans to fill up their tanks, not raise prices until they can’t afford to drive to work or school. Be a rational environmentalist, not a radical one.

Biden is Doing the Bare Minimum to Secure Our Border

Image

Biden did the absolute bare minimum last night — only mentioning the border 4 times in his SOTU. Did he propose any policies to secure the border? No. Did he mention any plans to help understaffed CBP agents? No. Did he mention that the way we solve the fentanyl crisis is by stopping cartels dead in their tracks? You guessed it…no. Instead, he complained that Congress has refused to act on immigration, when that’s just not true. Maybe it’s just not in the way HE wants Congress to act (which, by the way, is pushing for amnesty for illegal immigrants). We have the bills to target these cartels. Let’s get our common sense bills on the floor and do everything in our power to capture these thugs.

State of the Union Fact Check

Clearly Biden was confused when he gave his State of the Union address, so I fixed some of the stats for him. Click to read the slide deck.

Top 5 Things I Did Not Like About Biden's State of the Union

Image

Biden's State of the Union was a long, disjointed, rambling cacophony of lies with a side of gaslighting for good measure. The list of rebukes is too long to post here. So I’ll say just this one thing. The SOTU could be an opportunity to actually give us the “state of the union.” Tell us why America is great and why we have many great years ahead. Instead, he wasted our time spewing campaign-style rubbish, lying about the GOP position on important issues, and causing division instead of unity.

Washington Examiner: Texas could be reimbursed billions for border crisis costs under new legislation

A Texas Republican will put forward a plan for the federal government to reimburse border states billions of dollars spent on security and immigration issues absent adequate help from Washington. Ahead of the State of the Union next Tuesday, Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) will debut the State Border Security Reimbursement Act that would help states like Arizona and Texas recover from massive expenditures at the border over the past decade, including responding to illegal immigration, drug smuggling, and related matters.

Fox News: Republicans blast Biden for 'lying shamelessly' about Social Security, Medicare during State of the Union

President Biden made several bipartisan overtures in his second State of the Union address Tuesday night, but if he had hopes to unite Congress and the country behind his agenda, those hopes appear dashed as many Republicans say he was "lying shamelessly" and stoking divisions. GOP lawmakers are furious with the president, who accused them of wanting to hold the economy "hostage" and sunset Social Security and Medicare. Biden's statements were met with raucous boos in the House chamber, and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., was seen shouting "Liar!" at the president. Others joined in on social media during and after Biden's speech. "The President has devolved into just lying shamelessly about GOP positions to frighten seniors citizens into voting for him," Rep. Dan Crenshaw, R-Texas, tweeted from his personal account.
