Maine has a chance to lead the nation in developing an industry committed to strong equity and labor standards, environmental monitoring and mitigation, consistent collaboration with the fishing industry, and technological innovation. The University of Maine’s Advanced Structures and Composites Center has long been a leader in floating offshore wind technology research and development, keeping Maine at the forefront of the field.
The Maine Governor’s Energy Office (GEO), after 18 months of collaborative stakeholder-driven work, recently released a draft of the Maine Offshore Wind Roadmap, a plan to develop an offshore wind industry that works for Maine’s people, economy, and heritage.
We need a groundswell of support for responsibly developed offshore wind in Maine. Join us and tell Maine lawmakers that you support offshore wind now. Click here to sign the petition.
