We've gotten off to a fast start serving as Georgia's Lieutenant Governor—and I wanted to take a minute to share some of the exciting updates with you.

On January 12th, 2023, I was officially sworn in as the 13th Lieutenant Governor of the great state of Georgia. It was a humbling and surreal moment, and I'm so grateful for the support of family, friends and supporters like you who helped make it possible.

On January 25th, Governor Brian Kemp gave his State of the State address. I had the honor of addressing the joint session of the General Assembly and introducing our great Governor to deliver his remarks. In his speech, the Governor outlined his priorities to boost our economy, lower costs, strengthen public safety and improve education and healthcare across our state. I look forward to working with the Governor throughout this legislative session to accomplish our shared priorities and continue making our state the best place to live, work and raise a family.

Last month, I also had the privilege of speaking at the Georgia Chamber's Annual Eggs & Issues forum, where I discussed some of our legislative priorities and outlined our agenda for the upcoming session. If you didn't get the chance to attend in person, click HERE or below to watch the recap:

I also recently had the opportunity to address a packed room of conservatives at the annual Faith & Freedom Legislative Breakfast. I was so inspired to see so many friends, old and new, uniting around our shared conservative principles. I will always defend our freedoms, the Constitution, and our Georgia values as your Lieutenant Governor—and we will fight every day to defend them from the extreme policies of the far-left.

As you can see, we've hit the ground running to lower costs, crack down on violent criminals and restore law and order to our streets, expand workforce opportunities, and boost foster care and healthcare systems across our state. Our work is just beginning—and we're going to work hard every day and deliver on our campaign promises to make our state the best in the country.
