Folks,
What do Glenn Youngkin and Ginni Thomas have in common? They both wanted to have a right-wing conspiracy theorist sitting on the Virginia Board of Education.
Suparna Dutta was appointed by Gov. Youngkin last year and has not been shy about making newsworthy statements since:
“What is a little disconcerting to me is that these themes and concepts talk about questionable concepts like conflict and power relationships and highlighting colonialism, imperialism, servitude, enslavement, nationalism, racism, cultural expressionism or like, basic economic principles.”
— Suparna Dutta
Folks, Ginni Thomas sent emails and texts to Members of the General Assembly and their staff pressing them to confirm Dutta to the Board.
Thankfully, Democrats in the Senate voted her nomination down and dealt another blow to the anti-democratic Ginni Thomas.
If it weren’t for our majority in the state Senate, Ginni Thomas would’ve won and a conspiracy theorist would be sitting on the Virginia Board of Education. We need to make sure that we protect our Senate majority in 2023 — Can we count on you to chip in and keep right-wing radicals out of Virginia policy?
