Dear Friends,

Happy Black History Month! This month, we would like to spotlight a unique and compelling Afro-German voice in film by screening Ines Johnson-Spain's documentary Becoming Black on February 28. You are also welcome to join us via Zoom webinar on Feburary 13, for a discussion of Black Feminism in a transatlantiac context, featuring journalist Alice Hasters and author Morgan Jerkins.

Next month, on March 8 - International Women's Day - we will present an exhibit on the Rosenstrasse Protest of 1943, the largest public demonstration against the deportation of Jews in the Third Reich. The exhibit highlights the courageous women at the center of the protest, who fought for their husbands. You are all cordially invited to the opening at the Goethe-Institut.
