1. She's a lifelong progressive champion – from working with the NAACP to integrate her cheerleading squad at San Fernando High School, to advocating for pro-worker policies in Washington.

2. She's not afraid to do what's right, even if it means standing alone. She was the only member of Congress to vote against war in Afghanistan because she knew endless wars are never the solution.

3. If she runs for Senate and wins, Barbara would be the only Black woman currently serving in the Senate.

The bottom line is this: Barbara will continue to amplify the voices and needs of working people to make sure all people can thrive. But a recent article from the San Francisco Chronicle reports that she has a massive fundraising disadvantage going into this race.
